RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) GPS achieves centimeter-level positioning by streaming carrier-phase corrections from a known base station to a moving rover. Standard L1/L5 GPS gives 1-3 meter accuracy; RTK collapses that to 1-2 cm. For drone mapping this is the difference between needing 8 ground control points per flight and needing zero. FI Tech uses RTK on every Matrice 350 RTK and Mavic 3 Enterprise sortie, with base stations either on a permanent benchmark or fed from the Saudi General Authority for Survey GNSS network (KSA-CORS). RTK is mandatory for survey-grade orthomosaics that drive Saudi-government progress payments.
