Dashboard Navigation
Understanding the dashboard interface helps you quickly access the information you need.
Main Navigation
The sidebar provides access to main sections: Dashboard, Analytics, Devices, Reports, and Settings. Dashboard shows your configured overview panels. Analytics provides deep-dive tools for historical data. Devices lists all connected sources with status indicators.
Dashboard Switching
Multiple dashboards can be created for different use cases. Operations dashboard shows real-time status and alerts. Management dashboard focuses on KPIs and trends. Switch between dashboards using the dropdown in the header. Pin frequently used dashboards for quick access.
Time Range Selection
Global time range selector affects all dashboard widgets. Quick selections include Last Hour, Today, Last 7 Days, and custom ranges. Time zone setting ensures consistent interpretation across users. Compare current period with previous periods using the comparison toggle.
Widget Types
Various widget types display data in formats suited to different analysis needs.
Value Widgets
Single-value widgets display current readings or aggregations. Configure thresholds for color-coded status indication. Sparklines show recent trend within compact display. Use for KPIs and key metrics requiring immediate visibility.
Chart Widgets
Line charts show trends over time for one or multiple metrics. Bar charts compare values across categories or time periods. Pie charts display proportional distribution of categories. Area charts emphasize cumulative values over time.
Table Widgets
Data tables present detailed records with sorting and filtering. Configure visible columns and default sort order. Enable drill-down to individual record details. Export table data to CSV for external analysis.
Map Widgets
Geographic maps plot device locations and readings. Heat maps show intensity distribution across areas. Click markers for device details and recent data. Filter map display by device type or status.

Device Health Metrics
Online/Offline status shows connectivity state. Battery level indicates power status for wireless devices. Signal strength helps identify connectivity issues. Last seen timestamp flags potentially failed devices.
Operational Metrics
